    Marlene von Steenvag, the ‘Queen of Burlesque’ (ZDF Aspekte 2014), has shaped the art form Burlesque in Germany decisively since 2010 and is increasingly in the public eye. After her drama studies at the East 15 Acting School in London and her artistic debut in 2009 she moved to Berlin in 2010. To this day Marlene von Steenvag dances and models all over Europe for well-known brands as ‘BMW’, ‘Aston Martin’, ‘Google’, ‘Cointreau’ or ‘Amorelie’.


    Marlenes TV appearances vary of ‘SPIEGEL TV’ or ‘ZDF Aspekte’, ‘Mieten, kaufen, wohnen’ or as a Coach at ‘My Secret Dance Crew’ on VOX. As a founder of “Berlin Burlesque Festival” and “Hamburg Burlesque Festival” she received an international press response and comprehensive coverage in German leading media such as “Die Welt” or “Berliner Zeitung”. Through several collaborations with Esther Haase for different advertising campaigns (i.a. for Berliner Pilsener) there has been some further projects in the social area: for example for the Breast Cancer Project ‘Großstadt-Amazonen’ by Uta Melle or in the area of ​​the AIDS Enlightenment of the Schirner-Zang Foundation.  Furthermore Marlene von Steenvag is invited as a style icon to movie first showings and fashion shows at the Berlin Fashion Week.


    The signature of her shows is elegant and glamorous. Her bath in the champagne glass contains the largest champagne glass in Europe. With a fairy-tale and opulent reminiscence of Viennese Modernism and the European spirit of the eighteenth century, she clearly stands out in the scene and was awarded as the “most important person in the burlesque industry” (People choice Award 2015, IndieBerlin).
